Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User") and Flexel ("we," "us," based in Bulgaria). By accessing or using our Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Service Architecture & Data Responsibility

Flexel operates on a Local-First architecture. This fundamentally affects how data is handled:

  • No Cloud Storage of Files: We do not host, store, or backup your actual spreadsheet files (Excel, CSV) on our servers. Processing happens within your browser session.
  • User Responsibility: You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your original files. Flexel is not liable for any data loss that occurs within your browser environment (e.g., if your browser crashes or cache is cleared).

3. AI Usage & Disclaimers

Important Warning regarding AI Outputs:

Our Service utilizes Artificial Intelligence (LLMs) to generate formulas, analyze data, and edit text. By using these features, you acknowledge that:

  • Accuracy: AI is probabilistic and may produce inaccurate results ("hallucinations").
  • Verification: You must verify all AI-generated outputs before using them for financial, legal, or critical business decisions.

4. Intellectual Property

Your Data: You retain 100% ownership of the data you process through Flexel. We claim no intellectual property rights over your spreadsheets or the outputs generated specifically for you.

Our Service: The Flexel interface, code, logos, and proprietary AI prompting logic remain the exclusive property of Flexel.

5. Subscriptions & Refunds (EU Policy)

Billing: Services are billed on a recurring subscription basis. You may cancel at any time via your account settings.

Right of Withdrawal: As an EU-based service, we offer a 14-day refund window for the initial purchase. However, to prevent abuse of our AI costs, full refunds are only available if you have used less than 10% of your monthly AI credits (or fewer than 50 AI requests) during this period.

6. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use Flexel to:

  • Process illegal content or generate spam/malicious scripts via the AI.
  • Reverse engineer the application code.
  • Share your account credentials with multiple users (unless on a Team plan).

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Flexel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of profits or data. Our total cumulative liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Flexel in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Bulgaria. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts in Sofia, Bulgaria.
